Windows 10 and SAP GUI for Windows
As of today we officially support Windows 10 (32/64 bit - Pro/Enterprise) using SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 Patch 4 (and higher).
As there had been some questions regarding the new browser "Edge" please refer to that statement in note 66971:
"With Windows 10, a new browser with the name "Edge" is delivered. Due to technical restrictions (no ActiveX support), this browser is not supported by SAP GUI for Windows. SAP GUI for Windows can only be used in the Internet Explorer."

As of patchlevel 10 SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 officially supports a subset of SAP Screen Personas 3.0 features. With this the “beta phase” for SAP Screen Personas 3.0 in SAP GUI for Windows ends. See SAP Note 2080071 for more information

Hi all,
SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 Patchlevel 5 and the Compilation 2 DVD is now available on SAP Service Marketplace!

Please be aware of that fact:
- Removed components as of 7.40 Compilation 2: The “Controls for the SAPscript Legacy Text Editor” and the “ECL Viewer” have been removed from the SAP GUI delivery as of 7.40 Compilation 2. See SAP
Note 2192210
One has to download and install these components separately on the installation server again, otherwise e.g. the SAPScript Legacy TextEditor will be un-installed when only installing Patch 5.
Please keep also in mind that SAP GUI for Windows 7.30 is meanwhile in restricted maintenance and will go out of support end of October (see note 147519).
Please plan your upgrade to SAP GUI 7.40 if you haven't done yet...

SAP Desktop Office Integration and Microsoft Office 2016
Hi all,
as of patchlevel 5 of SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 the SAP Desktop Office Integration supports Microsoft Office 2016 (32bit / 64bit). This statement is valid also for the usage of Office 365.
