COE stands for Center of Excellence.Every Company now a days have the COE's for various technology they posess.For example there can be .Net COE,NW(Netweaver COE) or any other technologies.
COE is suppose to have experts of that particular technology.Suppose you are in NW COE ,you can work in some projects of NW or else some other projects inside your company if require can take people from NW COE.
COE is generally made for new and up-coming technologies.To build a team of experts as they say.
Its always good for a company to project that it has a COE,that adds value.For clients it means that they have copetent people in that technology who innovates things and are competent.
If you belong to a COE one thing is sure that you will work on that technology and as par as my information its good to be a part of some COE.
