SAP HR - PB to PA

Hi,

Is there a function module in ABAP where in I can get the PERNR(Personnel Number) just providing the APLNO(Applicant Number). We need to create a program that gets data from PB table and PA table. Given the Applicant number, we need to get the corresponding Personnel Number of that employee. Thank you!

If you have applicant number why you do not use PB20 and infotype 4005 (Applicant's Personnel Number)?
