Join in Infoset

Hi All ,

Im trying to create a join between two Cubes which has field Doucment number common between them but with a different infoobject. One is of type CHAR and length 8 and other is NUMC and length 8. Is there any way i can make this join work. I know the Iset doesn't support join between two data types. But is there any work around to achieve this.

Please share your thoughts.

Hi,

it is not supported.

A workaround could be using a "Virtual Characteristic" in the one of InfoCubes with same definition as in the other InfoCube and use the virtual InfoObject in the join.

I'm not sure if 'virtual InfoObjects" are interpreted by the InfoSet or not. (I never tried it.)
