Over Delivery Indicator with Assembley Scrap

Former Member

Good Day

I have a problem with production orders using Assembly Scrap. The "Over Delivery" indicator continually gets set once the GR qty exceeds the original production qty. As a result the order is identified as out of WIP when it shouldn’t.

For Example:

Original Order Qty: 100

Assembly Loss: 10%

New Order Qty: 110

Once GR value is equal to 100 the indicator gets activated.

Does anyone know if there's something in the IMG which allows the system to look at the 110 value rather than the 100.

Hi Alex,

Please check whether you have enabled the indicator "over delivery" in the Work scheduling view of material master. If it is there then deselect this.

Please inform if problem is not resolves.

Hi Tajuddin

The over delivery indicator wasn't on, I tried it with the indicator on but this made no difference.

Alex,

Why do not you assign a different RA key and assign that for the required plant/order types only so that the other plants do not suffer.

Alex,

Got your problem now. It should be posible to do that in customizing. Check transaction OKGC. In this delete the entry which hs the following values:

CO area = Your CO area

RA version = Your relevant RA version (standard 0)

RA key = Your RA key (in standard 000002 for wip at actual costs)

Status = DLV

Statusnumber = 3

If this is done the system would not cancel the WIP when DLV is set. Hence WIP will be cancelled only when TECO is done.

Try this and let me know. If it works reward points and close this thread.

Hi Ram

That would be one way of resolving the problem. I was hoping it was possible to

point SAP at the higher value. If I remove this option there are many plants within the same CO area who do not TECO orders. I would have to get them to start doing so which is not favourable in this case.

We have a custom scanner program for goods receipts which I think I may have to

modify to check and remove the indicator if set incorrectly.

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

In the material master work scheduling view you need to

enable the indicator unlimited over delivery.

In The Production orders GR Tab page you can activate the status as unlimited over delivery.

Also in OPK4 you can define whether orders under deleivery / over delivery should checked or not during confirmation.

Hi Ram

The issue comes at month end with the settlement of orders which have been activated with the "Delivery Complete" indicator. As you know the order is deemed no longer in WIP once this is set. However some of these orders are still valid WIP orders but SAP appears to have set the "Delivery Complete" indicator to soon.

The cause is definitely the assembly scrap.

For Example

If I start with a qty of 100ea which subsequently gets bumped up to 110 if the loss is 10%. As soon as 100ea are GR the indicator gets set. In my mind the indicator should only be set once 110 has been receipted unless of course we have scrapped the difference in the confirmations.
