Hi,
Can someone help me with MICN T.code? I am getting Planned Date Count Start date as 0#0#0# format. Even I change the date, same zibberish coming back. We are using ECC 6.0.
And also what are the steps invloves in cycle counting?
Hi,
Cycle counting is used to do the physical inventory at a regular interval of time. You can categorize different materials using the 'cycle counting physical inventory indicator' in Material Master - Plant data/ stor, 1 view. This is required while setting up the cycle counting for the first time.
When you run MICN, the systems checks for the materials having the CC Physical Inventory Indicator set in the material master. The error you are getting is not about date. I guess, the system is not able to find out the material for which cycle counting has been set up.
The time intervals for carrying out physical inventory may be set up in customizing. Materials Management -> Inventory Management & Physical Inventory -> Physical Inventory -> Cycle Counting.
Hope this helps.

Hi all,
We are doing Physical Inventory with Cycle Counting...
Now issue is that in MICN (Cycle Counting), Materials are selected Batchwise, So if two batches are created on different date, then that material would be considered twice for cycle counting....
E.G. Material : A
Batch : B1 --> 1st January
Batch : B2 --> 10th January
Cycle Count Date --> 20th January
So both batches would be eligible for cycle counting....
But if another batch is created on 21st of January...It would not be considered for cycle count on next run because its date of creation is different and that batch would be eligible for cycle count on 21st of next month....
Now we want to calculate all the batches of a single material on a particular date....Is there any solution for it?

Hi,
The 0#0#0# format is being defaulted from OMCN.
CHange the format in OMCN helps it.
Thanks
Venkat
