Picking based upon delivered Qty

Dear all

Its possible in SAP that the picking qty is less or more than deliverd qty.

    Hi,

    Yes less than delivery qunatity is possible but How it can be more than delivery quantity ?

    Not possible in standard SAP as per me.And bussiness logic wise also not feasible.

    Picking quantity can be lesser than delivery quantity for sure, not sure of the other option.

    I did check that too now. If picking qty is more than delivery quantity, it gives an error message.

    Also, even if picking qty is lessthan delivery quantity, the goods issue is not happening with error message, that

    Message type E

    Message area VL

    Message No 609

    Delivery has not been putaway/picked completely.

    Hence

    Delivery quantity = Picking quantity for GI to happen.

    Hi

    u can't enter the picking qty less or more than delivery qty , where as in batchmgt u can spilt the material and enter deviation in other batches in the same material.
