No menu icons in NWBC 6.5

Hello,

I use NWBC 6.5 with SAP GUI 7.50 patch 1. In some systems I dont see menu icons (like on the screenshot below) - SAP 7.31 patch 20

While in other systems I see menu icons properly - SAP 7.02 patch 18

I fullfill requirements mentioned in OSS note 2446515

  • Microsoft .NET 4.6.2 or higher.
If not available on the client PC (in general, it is not installed on Windows 7 images), you can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53344
  • Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013
    Note:
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013 is included in the SAP Business Client installation. If you do not have this, it is automatically installed with SAP Business Client.
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 for the desktop, depending on the operating system. For details, please refer to the SAP PAM (Product Availability Matrix), product instance Frontend.
  • SAP GUI for Windows 7.50

Has anyone any idea how to solve the problem ?

Hello Robert,

I’m experiencing currently the same problem with NWBC 6.5 and SAP GUI 7.50. So far I’ve found out, that I don’t see the menu icons in all Non-Unicode-SAP-Systems. In Unicode-SAP-Systems the icons are always shown properly.

I’ve also discovered, if the option ‘Merge system function bar and application bar’ in the personalization settings of the NWBC 6.5 is deactivated, at least the buttons of the application bar are in Non-Unicode-Systems properly shown.

I hope this information helps in finding a solution for our problem.

I have found that the issue will be solved by next patch 2513574 - Missing Toolbar in NWBC 6.5

Hello Katharina,

You are right, the problem appears in non-Unicode systems

Thank you for answer
