We process our May payroll run, the allowance wage type 2024 (wage type group 0014) was correctly included in OT rate calculation . In following month Jun payroll run, due to master data change, a retroactive calculation was trigger and result a negative OT payment. this is due to wage type 2024 amount was not included in OT hourly rate calculation. the retroactive may OT hour rate is now less and causing deduction in OT payment.

1. during May payroll run

basic + shift allowance (info type 2010) + 2024 allowance (info type) = 3000+180+100 = 3280 ; Ot hourly rate = 3280*12/2288 = 17.20; Ot hours

2. in Jun payroll run , May retro calculation

basic + shift allowance (info type 2010) + 2024 allowance (info type) = 3000+180 = 3280 ; Ot hourly rate = 3180*12/2288 = 16.67.

Can anyone help to tell what causing the the wage type 2024 not included for retroactive calculation.

Thanks in advance.

Can you just simulate May for May and check is it calculating as per the original or is it as per the retro May ?

If May for May is different from the original May then I would check your IT0014 data for May dated changes post May payroll.

If May simulation is per original then I suggest you split your screen and compare the payroll logs line by of the May in May simulation versus May in June and zone in on where the behaviour of your wage type changes. This should give you a good indication of what is going awry.

As Brendan suggested, execute a Payroll Simulation, with the "Display log" box checked and drill down into that log to find out how the Overtime Rate and Overtime Amount are calculated in your system, both "For May in May" and "For May in June", each of these simulations covering half your screen so that you can compare the Inputs and Processing.

Try to find where and how the Overtime Rate is set in the Current Pay (For May in May) and in the Retroactive Pay (For May in June), and try to identify why WT 2010 from IT0014 is not part of the Rate in Retroactive Pay's Calculation.
