Oracle or Crystal SQL syntax

I have built a report (CR2013 SP2) using a Command on Oracle 11.

Data is grouped by day and then filtered by Week Day Number to removed weekends.

When I run query in Oracle Filter is

WHERE NOT(to_char(ENDDATE , 'd') in (6, 7))

However, when I load into Crystal Reports I have to change to use Crystal day numbers

WHERE NOT(to_char(ENDDATE , 'd') in (1, 7))

What is difficult to understand is when I load report onto CR server

I have to revert back to Oracle numbering

WHERE NOT(to_char(ENDDATE , 'd') in (6, 7))

Report connection in all cases is Oracle Server using TNS names.

Can anyone explain why SQL syntax reverts to Oracle when on Report Server?

Thank you

Ian
