Hi SD Guru's
I have a business scenario where we want to give KITS sales for Free. I have defined my regular KIT Main Item as ZTAQ and Sub Item as ZTAE.
Now, I have created 2 new Item Cat's for Free of Charge for Main Item (ZTQN) and Sub Item (ZTEN). I have maintained these as manual item cat's in the Item Cat Determination. My Question: When I am placing the sales order, the default main item cat is determined as ZTAQ and it is greyed out and not giving me an option to override that to ZTQN. Can you guys shed me some light on this, if I am missing something?
Read sap note 208245 - Availability of fields in sales orders to understand why some fields are grayed out.
There are ways to override the standard logic, but you need to handle all potential problems by yourself.
SD user exits are well-documented: go via SPRO, read the documentation or search the forum - you will find plenty of information.
