Filter on Probability Key Figure in Reports - Cloud For Customer

Is there a way/work around for being able to filter to only show certain opportunity records that fall below, between or above a certain percentage?

I can't even find a way of including the Probability figure within the selection criteria.

Hello Edward,

Key figures cannot be added to the selection area, but I believe key figure conditions will be helpful for this use case. This is how you set them up (in HTML5):

  • Open your report and go to the "Rows & Columns" tab.
  • Under "Column Fields", click on "Key Figure" and choose the option "Conditions".
  • Click on "New".
  • Here, enter the required settings. In your case they could be as follows: Key Figure = Probability, Characteristic = Opportunity, Type = Simple Condition, Rules = Between [enter the required values]
  • Save this and make sure that the condition is active.

This will act similar to a filter, i.e. only those lines where the opportunity probability is between the entered values will be shown. In the help documentation (the Business Analytics Guide), there is also an article about this called "Conditions".

Kind regards,

Hi Olga,

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my query. Can i have multiple conditions, so that a user can toggle between?

My aim here is that because a user can't filter on the probability, they should be able to at least select condition ranges themselves or switch between different ranges.

I agree with Edward.

In addition, is it possible to create a key figure that only pulls values for opportunities that are greater than a certain probability? - I have tried to create a restricted key figure, however, the restriction must be based on a characteristics and not other key figures.

Hi Fernanda and Edward,

Yes it is possible to create several conditions so the user can choose the one he needs. If you create them from the Business Analytics work center and save them to a view, the end users will see those conditions in that view. They will then be able to de-activate or activate them as needed.

In addition, end users can create their own conditions when they open the report from the work center, but these conditions will only be visible for the one user who created them.

In terms of creating a custom key figure that only shows values greater than a certain value in another key figure:

You can create a key figure with a formula using a boolean operator, like e.g. 'GT ("Probability", 50)', however this will only give you true or false results: 0 (=no, probability is not greater than 50) or 1 (=yes, probability is greater than 50) [See help document "Formulas"]. I assume however the requirement is to show the actual probability, rather than a yes or no value. I have not found a way to achieve this via a custom key figure, so to implement this, I would again suggest key figure conditions.

Kind regards,
