BODS Code move with different versions between Dev & Prod

Hi All,

I have BODS 4.2 SP6 version in Development and Production.

I am planning to upgrade my Dev server to SP8 first, and meanwhile if my team has to move code changes from Dev (SP8) to Prod (SP6), can they use Central Repo to move code OR at least can ATL file export import process be used across versions?

The path thru the central repo won't work.

Export / import is not supported, there's no backward compatibility. Technically, you can fool the import by changing the version in the first line of the .atl file from 14.2.8 and 14.2.6. but that's definitely not recommended in a production environment. Your resposibility, things may go awfully wrong.
