Hello Everyone,
I had purchased a permanent License for SAP Visual Author last year while with an active SAP maintenance. Well the computer is growing older and we needed to get stronger machines. We want to transfer the permanent license for the SAP Visual Author from the old computer to the new computer, however since our maintenance is now expired we cannot access anything from the launch pad or even fill out an incident report. Can anyone assist or have experience with this type of situation?
Hello Jared,
Your Author license is indeed permanent and will be valid for the foreseeable future. Both your hardware and current version of Author will become dated and less useful over time. Your current version of Author will not run on Windows 25 for example. You will need to take maintenance periodically to upgrade both your hardware and your software.
Regards
Malcolm

Good afternoon Vladimir,
I am afraid the do not have access to the
Apparently since I am no longer in maintenance I am not authorized to access the services even if it is to transfer an old license from a old machine to a new one. (I have the old activation code, however since I cant access the sap services it seems to be physically impossible for me to transfer it. At this point I am unsure what the point of me paying for a permanent license if I still have to have the maintenance to even move it.

Hi Jared,
Do you have access to the service.sap.com? There can replace license key with a new one.
