Characteristic 0EMPLOYEE is locked due to master data deletion

Hi All,

Please guide this is something urgent

i have tried to add three navigational objects to 0EMPLOYEE and now i am trying to activate it, its not getting activated and i am getting above error kindly guide me,

no there are no lock entries

no i have added 3 navigation attributes to 0employee and marked it as time dependent even though they are not , and tried to activate it whiule activating it showed me a dailog box which says delete master data but it was big message i thought it was fine so clicked ok then i got a problem it did not get activated , so i was scared and tried to to business content installation in foreground with out realizing it was customized now i am not able to activate

How to solve this problem since this is very sensitive issue

sm51 and sm12 not helping me

In RSRV how it is shd be done if at all it has to be repaired there

data would not get deleted there is problem that is occuring becoz of installation i want to go back to previous active version as infoobject has moved from non assigned infoarea to some assigned infoarea as it used to be thats the only change after installation as it was done in foreground

i tried to reinstall the business content in foreground

and object moved from non assigned to standard infoarea

if i have to move the object to non assigned grp infoarea what shd i do

Characteristic Characteristic 0EMPLOYEE: Value flagged for deletion but no M version available

can i get back by previous version

i deleted all the entries in sm12 but still problem is there same error message

shall i repair master data object if so how

Hi;

See if there is any lock entry in SM12 and any job running in SM51 for the deletion.

You can try to delete the lock entry and/or stop the job.

Thanks for your reply prakash unfortunately i hv done a bi installation of this object in foreground and merge wass done which moved from non assigned to its orginal infoarea does that impact when we transfer 0EMPLOYEE

Hi Harshitha,

It seems like data deletion has been scheduled and parallel you are trying to add the attribute hence you are facing the issue.

Wait until data is deleted and then try.
