hi,
i have small doubt on creating data types.how many ways we can create the data types?
1. Create Manually by right clicking on the Data type Tree object
2. Import IDOCs, / RFC to be used as your DT,MT and MI

Hi Narayana,
You can also create XSD schema in an external tool and import it as External definition.

Hi;
In addition to these 2 points you can also import the xml structure in your external definitions.

Basically XI provides you a editor to create your data type.

Another way is to import directly the XSD, DTD or WSDL file. It will generally substitute as a DT -> MT -> MI.
usually External definitions are used to import them - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/26/9e97b0f525d743882936c2d6f375c7/content.htm
Or you can directly refer a XSD during your data type creation.
