Hi everyone,
we are running yMkt 1702 on premise and have the old and new campaign catalog activated (SAP_CEC_BCG_MKT_CPM_OP & SAP_CEC_BCG_MKT_CPM1_OP). So far I always created email newsletter campaigns with the old app. When creating the campaign I could choose "Email Newsletter" as category (as shown in the screen below) and assign a communication category.
Now the problem I am having is with the new app. The campaign category is customized and permission handling is set to "Newsletter".
When I create an email campaign with the new app I can choose only the categories "Automated Campaign (Once)", "Automated Campaign (Periodic)", "Call Center" and "Default" whereas none of them allows to set a communication category.
Does anyone know what I might be missing? For testing I changed the permission handling from Newsletter to Default in the customization. If I do that "Newsletter" can be selected as a category but that does not really help me.
Thanks Christopher.
Hi,
Did anyone find where the field for newsletter/communication category is on the campaign in 1702? I can't find it either. Indeed as from 1705 it's on the Campaign Automation fields; but not on 1702...

Hi Joyca,
I can't recall that I found a solution for that and I don't have a 1702 system anymore to test it on. Can you make sure that a default email sender profile is maintained? It' a wild guess but I believe to recall that if no email sender profile is maintained the system does not allow you to even create email campaigns.
Regards Christopher.
Never mind, I just found this SAP How-to:
"2584889 - 1702 - Newsletter Campaign Category Missing in new campaign app"

Hi Matthias,
I believe your screenshot is based on yMkt Cloud 1705 where the category changed to "automated campaign". However, as stated we are working on 1702 on premise. There the same screen looks as following:
As you can see the communication category can't be selected/changed afterwards.
Regards Christopher.
