can you please tell me is my product has two different colors and i want to keep them in warehouse with fix bin storage that it will go to their respective bin everytime, how should i proceed
do i need to make storage sections for each color, or do i need to go for manual strategies for it

Hello Maggi,
One basic question.. Do you manage two different product code (Material number) for each colour for this material?
If yes, the you can maintain fix storage bin for each product in Material master WM data view 2.
If you are managing only one material for both colour then it is not possible to assign two different fix bin for same material within same storage type.
Hope this helps.

Arif, you get it right
so i think option i am left with is go for different section(for different colors)iff i want to keep it in same storage type. And if i want to go ahead with fixed bin then can i keep only one bin in each section.
I am goin for one bin because i am thinking of keeping two storage units at each bin and that will be enough to store my product.
plz give me green light over this issue
thankyou

Hello Maggi,
First, at least one st.section should be assigned to the st.type. Say, you can set up CFB (color fixed bin) as the name of the section. Then you create at least two fixed bins under this section for the goods with two different colors. In the WM2 views of material master data, the relevant fixed bin, max/min qty, replenishment qty should be filled in as well.
also, the setting should be customized in spro.
hope this will help.
