payment terms

waht is the best practice to set the baseline date as for payment terms , id it document date or psoting date.

please let me know.

    Hi,

    It basically depends upon the Business requirements. If an organization is considering posting date for calculation of credit period then you can adopt Posting date. However, if there is a gap in billing say a day or two and document date is equal to the actual delivery date, for calculation of credit period you can consider document date.

    To summarize, how the document date and posting date are populated in Billing document will be the driving force in determining this.
