Update terminate

Dear all,

When I post a goods issue of a delivery doc, system have an update error:

"update terminated"

Do anyone know how to solve this error?

Dear all,

I found the error message is " MB_UPDATE_TASKS V1 (no retry) Error"

and the error detail is " MA 120: Period for date 12.06.2007 "

Is it related to a "fiscal year variant" in article master setting.

Hi,

By the look of this message you are in a development system and this is the first time you have used this company code?

It looks like there is a problem with the set up of the company code and in particualr the config of the periods.

I would suggest that you post this on the FI message board as well to get ssome FI input.

Dear all,

I have solved this problem. It is because the fiscal year variant in article master do not match the fiscal year setting in controlling area, so it will has a posting error while posting goods issue.

Hi,

Go through the dump analysis in ST22 or paste over here so that some one can help you.

There could be so many reasons why this happens:

  • number range problem

  • storage space problem

  • program error (will have search for notes or raise a note in this case) etc.

Hi,

You need an ABAP programmer to have a look at the dump (St22).

This is the only way to determine exactly what caused the problem.

But it could easily be the number ranges as suggested.

Hi Chris,

This could be a problem with the number ranges. Kindly verify the same with SM13
