what is the importance of subledger

why we are using subledger? we can directly create a GL account.but why we are using reconciliation a/c. as far as my knowledge, reconiliation a/c used for post the subledger a/c to reconciliation a/c .

i want more clarification on this.

HI,

Subledger will be useful in the case of while posting to vendor or customer.

what ever you are posting to vendor or customer it will not store in vendor account or in customer account. which will store in sbledger account which has posted indirectly.

You can't post directly to these accounts. still if you have any doubts get back to me i will clarify.
