Transporting Cube

After adding newly added field to Cube I want to transport it. Do i need to delete the whole data of Cube in production before the transport?

I don't need historical data for those fields, so I will not prefer to delete my data.

Please provide ur suggestions.

You can use this paper in order to load the new field without delete the existent data in your infocube...

Hi SAP BI,

I guess you have added a new field to the info cube, Just do the transport to your Q system and once the users testing in Q is ok and they approve, you can transport it to Production.

As you are clear you dont require historic data, dont bother about dropping of data on the cube.

Excersice caution and transport over weekend or with no user activity on Production.

Even then you need to delete the data.
