Time to Install JAVA Addin

Hello,

If anyone has installed JAVA Addin (SR2) on Solaris 10 and Oracl1 10.X on ECC server. It is taking aroubd 14 Hrs for me on Solaris using a cluster.

Has anyone installed less than 14 Hrs ?

I highly appreciate for your response.

Thanks!

    Hello Rkandy

I think that 14 hrs are too much, I installed the java addin in the same platform without cluster and only took about 3 hrs.

Maybe to speed up your installation you have to take the sap resources out of the cluster group

    Hello,

14 hours is definetly way to long to install a Java Add in. Is the server under heavy load during the install?

I would recommend that you take a look at the sapinst_dev logfile and seeif it is being updated. This will let you know if the installation is hanging, or if it is just running slowly.

    Regards,

    David
