Win32 error2 on RFC Connection Test on a RFC-XI-SOAP Scenario

Hello Experts,

we established a connection between a R/3 4.6c and a XI. After testing the RFC Connection we received the following error message:

"Win32 error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.##"

We already found out that our 4.6c system doesn't understand unicode, but the XI does.

How can we configure the Receiver Adapter on the XI for an non-unicode system?

Does anyone of you have a how-to-guide or something alike?
