BW security on Combination of Infoobjects

Hi,

I am trying to develop a bw security system based upon the combination of infoobjects values rather than a single infoobjects value.

Ex :- consider we are having 0materaial and 0customer as authorisation relevant and i need to define an authorisation objects like below.

USER | MATERIAL | CUSTOMER

USR1 | MAT1 | CUST1

USR1 | MAT1, MAT2 | CUST2.

When usr1 selects cust1 he is not authorised to see mat2 but the same user is authorised to see mat2 when he selects cust2.

Kindly suggest me any ideas how to achieve this type of seurity for BW. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ramkumar

    Hi,

    I can't make them compounded because it has been used in already existing applications in production environment.

    is there any way where we can define authorisation object based upon the values of 2 or more infoobjects at a time.

    Thanks,

    Ramkumar

    Hi Ramkumar,

    you should be able to achieve this by creation of 2 seperate Authorizations with exactly the values you mentioned.

    Please search the forum for further information on RSECADMIN, security, authorisation, etc.

    Create separate authorizations for eachÂ….

    auth1 = USR1 | MAT1 | CUST1

    auth2= USR1 | MAT2 | CUST2

    Hope it Helps

    There will be enormous amount of efforts maintaining such authorizations. Also, the query response time also wont be encouraging.
