SmartForm Prinout Problem for more than one Page POs

Hi,

We have a smartform designed for PO printouts, now we face a problem of both previewing and printing out a two page PO (consisting of 20 line items). The PO seems in spool (sp01) after printingout attempt, but there is no printout. What can we do in order to fix this error?

Thx

Baris

Has your developer analysed the program? Is the program just printing out one page?

Hi,

Our developer hasn't yet analyzed the program,

Yes the program can only print one page.

I suggest that he check the program... I had several problems with non standard forms. Usually the printing program overlaps parameter definitions (code EF in NACE transaction) but it seems to me that there's no option at # of pages to print in this transaction... So ask him to check it out.

Cheers

I think I am not understanding something here. As long as there is a 2nd page defined you should easily be printing as many pages as you need.

You need to go into transaction NACE for application EF and (usually) output NEU so you can determine the name of your SMARTFORM.

Using transaction SMARTFORMS enter the name given by NACE for your SMARTFORM. Open the folder Pages and Windows. Generally there is a FIRST page and a NEXT page. Double Click on the folder FIRST (NOT the little arrow pointing right but the actual folder icon) and the entry in the Next Page ought to say NEXT or whatwever the subsequent page is named.

This is the ONLY way that I can think that you do not get 2nd page. Unless you are doing something special like trying to print to a printer in Duplex or a 2nd tray. Look at the other tabs here.

Your problem is not something found with a standard SMARTFORM and it must have been changed to NOT work.

The good news is that SMARTFORMS are really obvious and it is readily apparent to determine most logic. It flows from top to bottom. As with everything though the object must be active to work but you can test this by hitting F8 four times and you will get the basic test layout.

Good Luck!
