user id length is 20 ?

Hello ,

I am creating a user from the self registration , but i cannot give a user id of more than 20 characters if i give more than 20 its says "Login ID to long", is there any other alternative for changing the length , as we are using the email address as the user id ?

Please help this is urgent .

Hi Rakesh ,

Just like in this thread

1)Start the Config Tool usrsap<SID><instance>j2eeconfigtoolconfigtool.bat

2)Navigate to cluster-data --> Global server configuration --> services --> com.sap.security.core.ume.service

3)Look for the property "ume.logon.security_policy.useridmaxlength"

4)Save & Restart the J2EE engine

navigate to all the properties present and browse , you will find a lot can be customized according to your need ( Its SAP again) .look for the property

"ume.logon.security_policy.ueridmaxlength" in config tool.
