DTP understanding

I have seen this question multiple times I wanted to understand how DTP works.

Step1:

For 0FI_GL_4, I ran a full load for 2007003 to 2007004 data

Now :

PSA - 4 million records for 2007003-2007004

I ran DTP-FULL to my DSO

DSO - 4 million records for 2007003-2007004

I ran DTP-FULL to my Open Hub table (not marked for deletion)

Step2:

I ran a full infopackage in to PSA for 2007005

Now :

PSA - 4million + 1 Million (4m for 2007003-2007004 & 1m for 2007005)

I ran DTP-DELTA to my DSO.

I expect this to bring only the new 1 million records, but the DTP brings all 5 million records in that request. I'm confused

the DTP-DELTA which takes request from DSO to Open hub table is also taking total 5 million instead of the new 1 million.

Can somebody tell me how DTP behaves with various types and options in its settings with scenarios
