Error during export of EP7 using the SAPINST tool

Hi Guru's

We are in the process of performing an export of the EP7 Development system using SAPINST and hit an error.

SEVERE: com.sap.inst.jload.db.IllegalValueException: Trailing blanks in column PID

This error is probably caused by a bug in an application

failing to comply with the rules of portability.

Any ideas or has anyone come across a similiar problem ?

We are running EP7 on Oracle 10g.

Question:

Is it also possible to copy the database using a normal export utility and could we use 'SAPINST' to export just the Portal Instance ?

NB. We just want to copy the DEV system over to Q/A.
