Running Multiple Init of ODS from R/3

Hi all

The init with data transfer was done with selection Fiscal Year 2007 at the begin of fiscal year 2007.

and the delta is happening daily after that to the ODS.

Now as fiscal year 2007 is going to close and we have to start fetching data for fiscal year 2008.

we have to run a init in the ODS for that.

what are the possible options for the same?

1.Can i run a init w/o data transfer for 2008 without deleting init of 2007.?

2.if i delete the init of 2007 and redo an init w/o data transfer without any sleection will this solve the problem?i think we need a user lockout for this..

what are the other options?
