delivery and Shipments for idocs posting

Hi

- warehouse shipment advice (EDI 945) related (to update qties, packing info, and post G/I)

can i use DELVRY01 or DELVRY02. . which one for what.

- customer ASN (EDI 856) related - SHPMNT01 to SHPMNT03

will it update delivery

& also the shipment document

Hi,

For EDI 945 Shipping confirmation and stock confirmation, you can use message type SHPCON or WHSCON with IDoc type DELVRY01.

For EDI 856 Transport and shipping notification (ASN - Advanced Ship Notification), you can use the following:

- Message type is SHPMNT or SHPADV with IDoc types SHPMNT01 to SHPMNT03 for transport in the SAP application (update shipment doc).

- Message type DESADV with IDoc types DESADV01 (expires) or DELVRY01 and DELVRY02 for delivery in the SAP application (update delivery doc).

as its quite a bit of work to find out which fields to fill when posting idocs, here is an example idoc that updates LE shipments and does a shipment completion:

Repeat segment if you need to do other things
