Temse database maintenace

Dear all

We are using rspo/store_location = db,our problem is

1.When I am trying to read a logfile in SM37 it is showing the error

Error reading job log JOBLGX15252501X33155

Message no. BT167

how can i solve this problem and what is the reason

2. what is the monitoring and maintenance work for temse database?How can i monitor and check TST03 and TST01 tables?( we have already scheduled standard back groundjobs RSPO1043 and RSPO1041).

for both questions, run SP12, option TENSE data Storage -> Consistency check

In SP consistency check showing so many files with red colour.I have already scheduled RSPO1043 job to run every day.

but again i am getting same error

1.Which file i need to delete and how can I delete ?login with which user id?

2. If I delete at OS level is will i fase any problems in future?

Hi Nani,

With rspo/store_location = db option, you are storing TEMSE files from spool in the database. Generally to get better performance you store them on filesystem level, both the options have their pros and cons.

From what we perform here, just delete all the files that are marked in red colour. It is good practise to run SP12 regularly.

When I check in SM21 log is showing below mentioned error

Error 2 for write/read access to a file. File = /usr/sap/PRD/SYS/global/100JOBLG/0001X010

When it accessed a file, the TemSe software received an unexpected

error message from the operating system (or file system). The message

Contains the current file name and the value of the "errno" variables

of the C system.

What is the meaning of the above error? How can I solve it?

It is mainly happening when I want to see the logs from application server?

If a job ran on application server some times I cannot see the job log in SM37?

Please help on this
