Hi Gautham,

Once i did analysis of LN integration with SAP for WOrkflow .

There are 3 possible solutions for Integrating SAP Workflow with Lotus Notes

a.In SAP R/3, there is a program which pick’s the workitems which are new ( yet to be approved ) and send it's mail with attachment to the respective agents ( User's) mail id.In the mail content, an attachment (SAP Shortcut pointing to the Workitem) is available , on clicking it prompts for password ( sap password ) and the work item is shown for approver action.

b.Lotus Integration for SAP Business Workflow - This product / solution is a part of SAP Basis license and is available in SAP GUI installation CD.Few databases need to be imported to Lotus notes Server and all client machines (who are going to use SAP Workflow ) .

Following are the features..

1. Display a work item in the Lotus Notes inbox

2. Add/read attachments and forward work items from

Lotus Notes inbox

3. Execute a work item from the Lotus Notes inbox

using the SAP Win32 GUI

4. Execute forms-based work items (SAPforms) from

the Lotus Notes inbox, including offline support

and synchronization.

Note : Sap calls these solutions as "OBSOLETE"

c. Domino Access to SAP Business Workflow

This is included in the IBM Product "Lotus Connector for SAP R/3 and workflow".This supports SAP Version from 3.1 to up and Domino release 5 to up.

Following are the features....

1. Display a work item in the Lotus Notes inbox

2. Add/read attachments and forward work items from

Lotus Notes inbox

3. Execute a work item from the Lotus Notes inbox using

the SAP Win32 GUI

4. Password synchronization with Lotus profile whenever

SAP password expires.

I hope i have give some idea for you to decide upon......

Thanks.

Hi Vijji,

Thanks for the very critical information you provided , but I have few questions on how the A and C option work. I have some experience with B option but using outlook.

Questions On A:

1)when we send the mail to any emailid with an attachment which takes to sap inbox with logon verification how does the interface look like.

Questions On C:

1)How does this work from a technical prospective

2)How is this different from option B

I am sure, I will have interesting answers
