I am using Solution manager version 4.0 I have to configure the service desk functionality and the weblog" service desk configuration guide for dummies" does not fullfil my requirement because its incomplete ( i.e does not tells how to create IBASE etc. etc.) and also does not tell the correct BC Sets to be rum for solution manager.
Kindly anyone email me the configuration guide for release 4.0. If some one have a itutor, sim file etc for this I will be very grateful If you send me.
I am very much confused in IBASE . Help me in this regard too.

Hi Muhammad,
As Jason said, the steps to create iBase is clearly described under the IMG configurations to be done for the solution manager system.
You can find this under "Basic Settings --> SAP Solution Manager System --> Service Desk --> iBase
Once you have completed defining your system landscape using the SMSY transaction and have a solution defined in your landscape, you can create these iBase components for all the satellite systems in your system landscape involved in that solution automatically by following the below steps(Note this automatic creation of iBase components is possible only once for one solution. Subsequent additions of iBase components need to be done manually).
In SOLUTION_MANAGER transaction, open a solution. From the Edit menu choose "Initial Data Transfer for iBase".
Now the iBase components would have got created for you and you can check this using the transaction IB52.
