Dear all,

I am trying to release future price using CKME as well as CK24, It is not working, with above error message. I have checked that actually there is not existing standard price at the same period. I also have tried reorganize this using CKR1 but still not working.

Anyone knows why this happen?

I am in ECC5

Thanks in Advance,

EW

Hello

Two transactions look dependent. Try to create variants and run one after the other, if it fails, run the other way.

Check in quality.

Edi,

If there is a current planned price in Costing 2, reegardless of the period it was released (current or old), you cannot activate a future price.

The future price in Accounting 1 is NOT the same as Future planned price on costing 2.

Hi Althea,

Many thanks.

so how to update purchased material then?

I just find the way, we just have to assign certain user to get only the information message not the error message. However I am still doubt, is there any other way to solve this.

Thanks and Regards,

To update purchased materials:

If cost estimates are not used for purchased materials, we upload the new price to the Future Price field (Accounting 1) and then activate with CKME

If cost estimates are used for purchased materials, there are two methods:

1 - upload the new price to the Future Price Field and use a costing variatnt with a valuation variant that selects future Price field first.

2 - if purchase info records are correctly maintained, use raw material costing and us a valuation variant that selects the Puchasing info records first.

Cost Estimates are created, marked and released, in a costing run CK40N

Many thanks Althea,

I have a bit different case. Here I have purchased materials, in normal situation they are updated by CK40 along with releasing Finished Goods that using this purchased materials. Before updating I put new price in Future Price field.

Due to purchased material price increasing, i have to update this purchased material without waiting FG price updating. I use CKME for this.

But I have an error while I executing this transaction.

What is your opinion for this?

HI Edi,

If your purchased materials have a released std cost esimate, the only way to replace them is to release a new standard cost or find them through re-org and delete the std cost est.

It is much safer to release cost for the materials rather than to delete materials

Three suggestions:

If you have a list of the materials that need new standard cost, Do a costing run for only those numbers. I am in 5.0 now and don't know when this became available, but in the multiple selection input, I can upload from clipboard. So I would copy all the numbers and upload for selection. Then do your costing run.

If that is not possible, then:

Do a costing run for procument type F. This will depend on how your master data is set up and if the only future prices in the material master are the ones that you want to update.

In desparation of identification:

You could have a material status created that does nothing, add it to the materials that need to be costed as a cost specific material status., then in CK40's additional selections, use the cost specific material status.

See if any of these will work for you.

Edi,

There are 2 possibilities.

1) Either you have already already released a cost estimate in the same period & you are trying to release a 2nd Cost estimate in the same period.

2) Since the Future price is not updated in the Costing 2 view, you may not have marked the Cost Estimate because when you Mark the Cost Estimate, the Future Planned price is updated in the Costing 2 view.

Hi Rajaraman,

thanks for your reply,

I don't have a released cost estimate at the same period

Normally we dont have to mark standard price for purchased material, I use CKMPRP and CKME for this. However, I laso have tried marking using CK24, not working. FYI, It happen not to all purchased material.

Any other responds are welcome.
