A2A and B2B

We are using XI for Both A2A and B2B interactions and because of the network very large traffic my management is considering doing the A2A and B2B in Separate XI Instances.

What does the XI instances mean here? Whether two XI servers are going to be placed in place to server A2A and B2B Scenarios?

Thanks.

    Hey

usually to handle large volume of data we maintain two instances(two copies) of the same XI server.

get in touch with ur basis team and see what they come up with

    thanx

      Pete,

There are a couple of options here..

Option 1) Decentralizing the adaptor engine, In which case the adaptor engine ideally should be put on a different machine, then traffic can be routed thru that to reduce load on the main xi Server.

Option 2) Installing a separate XI Instance on a different machine and configuring the ale connections here as a standalone XI server for some high volume transactions, which then again reduces load on the main XI server.

In Case one its a single instance of Integration Server and multiple adaptor engine instances, In Case 2 its two different instances of XI.

      Hope that helps.

      Regards

    Pete,

I think it might be the Adapter Engine Instances instead of XI. So we can route A2A in Central AE , and let say route B2B in De-central AE.

I'm not sure, but this might be the case.

    Best Regards,

    raj.

    Hi Pete,

In normal scenario we usually use same XI server of both A2A and B2B but in some cases when data volumes are very high and one server is not able to handle the large volume of data in that case we install two separate XI servers for A2A and B2B. In your case also it seems that there are separate server of both.

Check this on A2A and B2B:
