Dear All,
If any one of you has an idea of record management, please provide clues to solving the following requirement.
Worklfow should be able to provide for electronic approval and reviewal of documents.
1. User creates a document(file).
2. When the document status is set to 'X', the workflow should be triggered.
3. A mail is sent to the initiator asking him to enter the approver id
4. A mail is sent to that approver asking him to review the document.
5. If the approver approves the document, corresponding status is set and the document is attached to a record. (Before attaching this document, the document should be converted to TIF or PDF)
Please provide me a general idea of going abt this.
Also, I tried creating a document, how do we set the status of it in SCASE?
I see that in IMG, there are relevant configurations for statuses, but dont know how to set a document status.
And, how do we allow the initiator to enter approval id in his inbox?
Is it thru' a form? Any valuable inputs would be appreciated.

Hi,
You can do all workflow trigger and emails using standard actions.
To change the status you need to code in order save badi or need to use actions to automatically change the status as per the scenario.
Also you can use Case management in CRM to attach the transaction to a unique Case id to keep a record of all the similar transactions relevant to BP.
