How to make Project Defintion field greyed out in Transaction CJ20N

Hi all,

I want to make Project Defintion field (PROJ-PSPID) greyed out which is in

changeable mode to inactive in transaction CJ20N.(PS Module)

The problem is that is greyed out in Development but showing in changed mode in production server. In production also I want to make it greyed out

Did u create a Transport Request in Development server , if So Transaport it .

else Create a Requet and Transport it .

Assuming that you mean the <i>Project Definition field</i> (PROJ-PSPID) in field group <i>Identification and view selection</i> then you cannot change its editability because it is a <b>key field</b>.

If the project definition has been created already then, of course, the field is no longer editable.

If you create a new project definition, then, of course, the field must be editable as long as you have not saved it yet. As soon as you save it the field is no longer editable.

The project definition is greyed out only after the project is released. For example, if the project has multiple WBS elements and you don't want to release all of them, then the project is only PREL (partially released) and hence, the project definition can still be edited. Is there a way around this?

Hi Experts,

Does any one knows how to make PROJ-PSPID field greyed out in CJ20N.

I checked in field selection for project definition but above field is not there for selection.

I am also having similar requirement where i have to grey out the Project definition field PROJ-PSPID in CJ20N at the time of creation. Could you please let me know the exit/badi and the steps you have followed for it.

Hi Prachi,

It will be grayed out after releasing the project/Other child objects such as WBS/Network/Activity.

If you want to grey out WBS elements, then follow the below process:

1. Create user Status profile in OK02 ( Eg: ZWBSSTAT) and assign it to required object Say WBS Element.

2. Under transaction control, select Change WBS number and choose radio button as forbidden.

3.Then Assign the Status profile to Project profile

i.e Project profile-->Status Management-->WBS Status Prof. (ZWBSSTAT).
