Hi,
When I try to open Query template editor from SAP xMII Menu --> Data Services, it shows a blank page. Also the same is applicable when I try to view Java Runtime Status and Applet Debug under SAP xMII Menu.
Is there any thing wrong with my IE settings?
Please let me know.
Thanks.
Vijayshankaran
Vijayshankaran,
Which version of IE are you using?
Also, please try to clear the Java Cache from the Control Panel.

The problem is only with IE. I installed Firefox and I am able to launch Querytemplate editor and other applet windwows except Applet Debug.
Thanks to all of you for your help.

Hello
I took care of the instructions given in the link -
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/redximage.xml
Still I faced the same problem.
This time, I uninstalled JRE, restarted my Laptop and then reinstalled JRE 1.4.2_07.
I am still facing the same problem.
Please help. I appreaciate your time.

Have you, by any chance, recently installed any desktop application (for example weather or any score alerts on the desktop)on the laptop (that is where your xMII is , right?).
If yes then you might want to uninstall the desktop application and then observe how xMII behaves.
I cannot explain the reasoining behind this but this was something I had experienced on my machine in the past where in after installing the weather alert from 'weather.com', xMII started showing the same behavior that you are talking about and it was rectified once i uninstalled the weather alert.
All the Best!
May be you are right. I had left my Laptop (the one on which xMII is running) at my work place one day. And I think ever since this problem is there. However what beats me is I have restarted my Laptop many a times after that incident.
Tha bottom line is now I am NOT leaving my Laptop on Standby or Hibernate.

Vijayshankaran,
Please review this page...
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/redximage.xml
It could possibly be a proxy configuration issue.
Thanks a lot for your response.
Unfortunately it still does not work.
I did check the option in IE. It is already checked. I unchecked the same, restarted IE and tried and it still does not work. I again checked the option and restarted IE and tried and it still does not work.
Please help.

Vijayshankaran,
I realize that you mentioned that you have restarted your PC in order to resolve this issue. However, the only time I have experienced similar weirdness from the JRE is when my PC is placed into Standby/Hibernate mode. Are you placing you PC in either of these two modes?

The "About" tab of the Java Plug-in dialog shows the JRE/JDK version as 1.4.2_07.
There is only ONE installation of JRE that I see in the Add/Remove Programs. The version here is also 1.4.2_07.
Finally the command "java -version" in the command prompt, returns the output -- java version "1.4.2_07".
Please help me.

No. I tried this and also tried several other things like the xMII server process restart, PC restart and browser setting changes etc.
Also FYI, when I open the Applet Debug which is under Log Management in xMII menu, I get a window with two single 'x' marks. It does not display the applet.
Awaiting your earnest response.

Have you tried to access xMII from another machine? Is this issue a client or server problem?
Can you please confirm the version(s) of the JRE/JDK you are running on the troubled workstation? Navigate to the "About" tab of the Java Plug-in dialog under the Control Panel. Also, open the Add/Remove Programs dialog to confirm the number of JRE installations on the troubled workstation. Finally, Open a windows command prompt (cmd) and type "java -version" to verify the environmental variable settings.

Vijayshankaran,
Please close all browser windows and then open a new window. Login and navigate to the Query template editor. Are you able to access this applet now?
Thanks,
