Hi,

If the installation is only java stack (either DB or LDAP persistence) the user id will be "administrator". In case of ABAP + Java stack the admin id will be J2EE-ADMIN. you can set the password for this admin in ABAP system also and log-in in J2EE engine.

In case if you don't know the password or password locked you can activate emergency user SAP*.

Please, refer the link below for activating the emergency user.

Hi,

if you dont have any other Administrative users other than the default (administrator/j2ee_admin) then the only option for you to reset the password for the default user. For this you need to activate the emergency user , SAP*.

Once that user is activated you login to visual admin using the SAP* and search the defalut user and change the pasword and finally you have to deactivate the emergency user .

The Note 669848 - Unlocking the Administrator User on the SAP J2EE Engine will help you guiding in all the steps.

Hi,

If you no longer connect to the Visual admin it is better change the password of the user j2ee_admin as mentioned bellow

You have to change the J2EE Engine administrator password in the secure store as follows:

1. Start the Config Tool by executing the /usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance name>/j2ee/configtool/configtool script file.

2. Select secure store.

3. Select the admin/password/<SID> entry.

4. Enter the J2EE Engine administrator user new password in the Value field and choose Add.

5. Choose File -> Apply to save the data.

6. Restart the J2EE Engine

Hi Sajid,

First of all,

Are you working with NW2004 or NW2004s?.

<b>NW2004</b>

If it is pure SAP Java Stack installation then the default administrator user name administrator.

In the case of Dual Stack (both Java stack and ABAP Stack)installation, the default administrator user name is j2ee_admin.

How to change the J2EE admin username is described in this weblog ,

refer this forum also,
