Passthrough interface from ECC via single stack PI and dual stack PI to Trading Partner

Dear Experts,

I am working for a client where in All B2B interfaces connect to PI2 system which is at present PI 7.31 then the data is sent to/received from PI1 system which is single stack. From there the data is routed to ECC/BW.

ECC<->PI1<->PI2<->Trading Partner(TP)

Now in my case is mostly passthrough but with partners we have to connect only suing AS2 adapter.

Now my question is since PI1 is single stack, option of picking the file from al11 path is not there anymore, can we use SFTP there?..also...is there a way to passthrough the file to PI2 wthout using content convertion. From there the files will be sent to TP using AS2 Seeburger adapter.

Needless to say they are EDI files and mapping means a lot of effort.

Any pointers will be appreciated.

Regards,

Pooja

Pooja,

Even though PI is single stack it still has a application layer where the files can be picked or dropped . So after your EDI mapping in PI1 system drop a that file in Application server of PI2 system , if the PI2 system is UNIX then by default the file server will be hosted as SFTP so you can connect via SFTP or else Basis can mount PI1 and PI2 file server and you can pick can drop the file using NFS ,From there your PI2 can pick and send that one to AS2 TP.

I still did not get how P1 will pick the files from ECC. once this is done, no mapping is required niether in P1 nor in P2.

PI can access ECC FOlder via SFTP , FTP or by mount . You just need to check with your infrastructure team which one of them is supported by your ECC system.

AL11 of PI dual stack was just one wasy to access PI folders , currently i am using the mount method where the file system of ECC and PI are mounted so i access normal by NFS .Only thing is if you want to see the folder in PI single stack system you need to setup java http configuration in nwa check this blog :https://blogs.sap.com/2013/05/13/getting-access-to-file-system-in-java-only-systems/
