Difference between SCP SDK for IOS vs SMP SDK for iOS

Hi,

Can someone help me understand how SCP SDK for IOS is different from SMP SDK for iOS? In terms of capabilities, licensing, and constraints.

Thanks,

Navdeep

    Navdeep,

If you look at the high-level capabilities of both SDKs, they are similar as in they both support fundamental network and authentication, supportability features, native push, OData handling (online/offline). The two key functionalities that we have added to the SAP CP SDK for iOS is support for the Fiori for iOS design language, i.e. corresponding UI controls, and the proxy generation for OData client classes.

However, if you look at it from the technical perspective, the SAP CP SDK for iOS is a much more modern SDK, written in Swift (instead of ObjectiveC), and ready for easy and modular consumption.

The licensing for both SDKs is explained in these SAP Notes:

    Thanks
    Andreas
