Moving SAP B1 to new server

Hi all,

We need to move an SAP B1 server installation to a new server. The old server installation and license was never used live and we are looking to install fresh on the new server.

Where do I apply to get a new license file for the new hardware key?

You can keep existing server as license server and make new server as database server. In this way you dnt need to request new license.

Hi,

You can request license from your SAP Partner. Not sure, even if you have S-User ID, you are not authorized to request license directly from SAP.

Before installing, check supported platform as well as hardware requirements.

You can request license keys from the SAP Service Marketplace: https://support.sap.com if you have an S-User ID. Alternatively you can request one from your SAP partner.
