key figures based on historical snapshot

I see that there is a default key figure called " Expected Value (Past)" available when I run the "Pipeline Change" report. This report uses the Historical snapshot data source. There is also a field in the report that drives this key figured, I believe, called "Comparison date" (see screenshots)

When I create a report with the same data source, the historical fields are not available so I figured this is a key figure I need to create. However, how do I create this based on historical information. The question is, what parameters should I use for this calculation? How do I add this "Comparison date" field to my data sources?

Even when I create a combined data source with the snapshot and opportunity header and item, this is not available. What am I missing here?

Hi Fernanda,

Your observation was correct that these fields will not be available at the data source level as they part of key figure structure designed at report level. Key Figure Structures are not available for creation of new reports or custom key figures. The reason behind this behavior could be to avoid any further inconsistency or discrepant values.

When I check for the design of these key figures "Expected Revenue(Current) and Expected Revenue(Past)" they restricted key figures where Expected Value key figure is restricted on Status field with 'Open and In Process' status and Key date as well.

This key date is not a characteristics which is available in the data source fields. They are defined by development only from backend which is unfortunately not available in UI to recreate the same key figure.

Thanks for the reply. Would you have any work around recommendations for this? I would like to be able to run a pipeline comparison report AND have the extension fields we have created available in the report as well.
