Material Analysis: Stock

Hi,

When i am trying to Execute the TCODE - MC.9 and try to look the valStockValue of the

material code 123456 as i taken the Valuation as Standard and execute with the following

value in the intial screen of MC.9 selection screen

1).

Characteristics

Material: 123456

Plant: Plant1

Period to Analyze

Month: 03.2007 to 05.2007

Valuation

Standard Yes

Std w/o Distrib No

MaterialLedger Active No

Current Price No

Execute

-

---

It shows that like below

Material ValStockValue Valuated stock

Total 970.19 7

123456 970.19 7

When i drilldown Material code 123456 it shows

Material ValStockValue Valuated stock

Total 970.19 7

Plant1 831.59 6

Plant1F01 138.60 1

-

---

Now when i saw the Material code using MM03 the Moving Price = 221.10 Total Stock = 1

And Tell us from where it picks the ValStockValue Price = 138.60 for Valuated Stock = 1

As this Question has been asked by our Internal Auditors from where 138.60 is picking and how it is being calculated while the Miving Price is 221.10.

Now Again if i execute MC.9 using following criertia

Plant: Plant1

Period to Analyze

Month: 03.2007 to 05.2007

Std w/o Distrib Yes

MaterialLedger Active No

Current Price No

It shows that like below

Now Again if i execute MC.9 using following criertia

It shows that like below

When i drilldown Material code 123456 it shows

Material ValStockValue Valuated stock

Total 1,547.70 7

Plant1 1,326.60 6

Plant1F01 221.10 1

-

---

Now here Plant1F01 = 221.10 is current and Matched with the Moving Price = 221.10

So I want to know why it shows difference in the ValStockValue Price when i select valuation as Standard, Std w/o Distrib, MaterialLedger Active.

It only shows currect values when i took Valuation as MaterialLedger Active as it

shows 221.10 and In the Material Master Moving Price = 221.10 which is currect but

shows totally different values when i took Valuation Standard, Std w/o Distrib in the

selection criteria of MC.9 inital screen.

Also what is the difference between Valuation

Standard

Std w/o Distrib

MaterialLedger Active

Current Price

Plz lets us know about that calculations.

Hi Anoop,

Did you try using Current Price? Ideally all the inventory valuations should be done on the basis of current price. Just try once by selecting current price options.

Also, try reading the F1 help of all these options, you will get some info on the claulations and differences between them.

See when i use Standard Valuation it shows 138.60 and when i use MaterialLedger Active it shows 221.10 for only few materials but not for all.

Now i excute for Current price it shows me current price as same the Moving price and which is correct.

So my Question is when we use valuation as

Standard

Std w/o Distrib

MaterialLedger Active

Current Price

What is the significant of using one out of four in the selection criteria. Means when we use Standard, when we use Std w/o Distrib, when we use MaterialLedger Active, when we use Current Price. and why its shows different values in these options only for few materials but not for all and how is calculated these values from means 138.60.
