ESS Record Working Time Missing

We have just installed ESS with ECC06

Once the autorization and permission issues were straightened out we were able to display the area screens and call the web dynpros.

However, the <i>Record Working Time</i> option under the <i>Working Time</i> area would return a blank page.

In trying to fix this problem we changed the resource definition.

The 'Record Working Time' option dissappeared from the ESS overviews screen, and it also dissappeared from the Working Time Area screen.

We changed the resource definition back to the original setting.

A compare to a different client assured that the entries are set the way they were before.

However, the 'Record Working Time' option has dissappeared from the ESS overviews screen, and it has also dissappeared from the Working Time Area screen.

I have tried clearing portal cache, restarting portal, restarting backend.

Still...no Record Working Time

Any ideas how to get this entry to re-appear?
