HI,
What is TECO in the production order? Can it be revoked an at what circumstances it should be evoked?
Can you pleae explain with examples.
Regards,
Mnsr.
TECO is a system status assigned to an order.
Once the order processing is completed and all the expected output is taken from and no output or no confirmations are pending to the order then the Order will made Technically Completed.
Take the Case if an Order1 has an expected output of 100 Nos and the order execution was completed and due to some reasons if the orderhas delivered only 85 Nos and the remaining 15 is not expected.
Then in such case if the Order is not Technically completed the system will expect the remaining 15 during availability checks. To avoid such cases and also to inform that the Order confirmation and Execution is completed We will TECO an Order.
You can have access to Revoke the TECO under the functions --> Restrict Processing --> Revoke TECO.
Under exceptional conditions only you have to go for Revoking of TECO and also in consent with FICO department.
Hope this helps you.

In cases such when you find there are some wrong postings against an order and you wnat to correct these like Wrong GRs, Wrong Goods Issues or some problems in entering the timings or confirmations of the orders.
In such cases we will revert the TECO and then reverse the confirmation and correct all the operations or GRs, GIs and then TECO the Orders.
When you TECO an order all the Open reservations, PRs and POs gets closed.
Hope this helps you.
Please reward points if this helps you.
Hi
The following actions are executed if an order is set to Technically complete.
The order is not relevant for MRP planning
Reservations are deleted
Capacity requirements are deleted
Purchase requisitions for external operations or non-stock materials are deleted
The order and its operations receive the system status Technically Completed (TECO)
If an order is technically complete, you cannot change it. The fields in the order are displayed but cannot be changed. You can however cancel technical completion, for instance if order data has to be changed.
After technical completion you can still make postings for the order. For instance, material withdrawal or a confirmation can be posted if they were previously forgotten.
For Result analysis (FI) the order has to be either TECO or DLV status
Revoking of TECO is done if you want to do the changes in the order like adding a material in BOM etc and is not advisable to revoke the TECO

Hi,
Teco means Technically completing the production orders. This function is used
if the execution of order has to be stopped prematurely or if the order could not
be executed in a required manner or if the open order qty is cancelled.
Actions:
1. The order is not relavant to MRP
2.Reservations are deleted
3. capacity requirements are deleted
4.PR for non stock components are deleted
5. We can still GI and GR for tecoed order
TECO can be revoked functions -
> restrict processing -
>revoke
Closing of production order:
No more costs can be posted for the order ie confirmations /Gooda movements
are not permitted
All actions related to teco are possible

TECO itself we can control the goods movement, confirmations.
then why there is a option available to close the order.
what are the major differences between order closing and TECO.
TECO can be revoked functions -
> restrict processing -
>revoke
Can any one tell me the activities happening while revoking teco.
is it possible to revoke the teco for an order which has been closed in the past and financial closing also over for thatperiod.still if we want to do what kind of implications r there in system point of view.
