have tried all options for increasing memeory parameters. checked space on server. but to no avail. please help.

Hi iceman,

did you try looking at the license. if it goes down after a specific interval of time , say 30 minutes, then your license has expired and you need to install a new license.

check it .

Hi all,

I'm facing the same problem. Every morning I have to restart the portal. We are on EP 6 an on AIX 5.3, 64 bit. I have check all the java parameters and the licenses. Does anyone know why this is happening?

on 2004s sp08, had similar problem, random shutdown.

I had to install some patch level for the webdynpro part of portal.

For memory parameters please check OSS Note 723909 of JVM settings because which also the portal must be restarting.

But the most common reason for portal shutting down regularly is the licensing issue. If the portal shuts down after every 30 min time interval then there is high probability that it is a licensing issue. Then you need to verify whether you have applied the right license or not. Since there are 3 types of license available.

I was facing with a problem like that! I´ve tried change almost all memory parameters and doesn´t fixed the problem, but now I fixed it looking to my right OS/Hardware, 64 bits...

Let me know what is your OS and what is the hardware to try help you!
