Hi,

The central Adapter Framework in an All-In-One installation we have all XI components uses the same database instance as the Integration Server. But in a high-volume processing scenario, we have one option is to use a separate non-central Adapter Framework instance with its own database and other resources to be installed on a different host. So this is own of the reason why your CPUs(SAPS) are more in decentral adapter rather than in central adapter.

This will help you

Rinku,

When you install XI, Central Adapter is installed as default. Its the core Adapter engine where it resides in Integration Server.

You might have read the funtionality of De-central adapter engine -"<b><i>Proximity of Business System"</i></b>, its nothing but installing Adapter engine based on your requirement. You can have multiple de-central adapter engine.

So you can route the particular scenario in the de-central adapter engine, for example if I have to run B2B scenario I can use the de-central adapter engine(its just an example).
