Time based aggregation / disaggregation

Hi,

Does anybody know some function modules / methods, which deal with time based aggregation / distribution, even taking into account its different methods used in DP ( equal distribution, proportional distribution, no disaggregation in time, based on another key figure, Read: Value from last period; Write: No allocation ) ?

Furthermore does anybody have any information about what is the practice in handling conversion weekly and monthly time buckets, when a week is overlapped by 2 months ?

Since we have to develop such functionality, which provides separate storage bucket definition and even completely mixed time bucket definitions for display, it would be fine to find a related reusable functionality or at least some code to study the concept.

conversion of minthly and weekly time buckets: If you have overlaping time buckets in your planning area, data is stored in storage buckets that have the lowest granularity of the planning buckets. the overlaping periods are considered as a separate storage bucket

21May -27May - 7 days

28May -31 may - 4 days

01 June -03 June - 3 days

04June -10 june - 7 days

You can have a temporary mixed bucket display in the planning book by using the Planning Bucket Profile : 9ASTORAGE. You can do this change from the interactive planning book. If you can tell what version you are on we can help with how to reach there. As far as i know, This display cannot be made permanent

if you want a mixed time bucket for permanent display you need to create fiscal year variants in customizing and create your time bucket and planning bucket profiles accordingly.

Hi,

Thanks for you answer, but we are working on a non-APO project, however it is connected to APO, since can pull data from APO, but this is only one type of possible datasources, it's xSOP composite. Hence this solution has to be independent from APO. We shall use TSDM as storage tool with the aid of datamatrix ( time line aggregation, distribution has to be developed there by us based on bound interfaces). I wanted to see some pattern, example how it is solved in APO, and maybe if some reuseable functionalities exist decoupled to SCMB, it would be worth to explore.
